Hi I'm Tee and I may or may not be responsible for a cherry shortage on the far East Side of town in sunny El Paso. It was all in the name of research…..mostly lol! I love cherries and they are abundant this time of year, it’s one of my favorite summer fruits! In honor of Love Alumni’s El Mercado Collection dropping today, I was inspired by their Cereza Brillante Earrings! They are a beautiful set of cherry earrings with dazzling gold drip, just the perfect accessory for a foodie such as myself. They're fun, sweet, and say Hello Summer! It gets hot out here in the beautiful border land of El Paso, Texas in the summer time, and to stay cool I like to make a huge batch of iced tea!

Here is my recipe for my current favorite tea blend. I used the Ginger Peach Hemp Flower Tea blend from Blue Tide Organics, however you can use any tea of your choosing. After you make your tea, share it and tag me @potmeetspoon because I can't wait to see you enjoy this tasty blend, and make sure to check out Pot Meet Spoon, that is @potmeetspoon on Instagram for other summer refreshers and simple dinner recipes. Now let's get to the juicy part!

Ginger Peach-Cherry Tea

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp tea of your choice
  • Sweetener of choice (I used raw honey)

  • ¼ cup cherries- muddled

  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice + slices for garnish

Directions:

  • Brew tea per directions on package, mix in sweetener and muddled berries, allow mixture to cool
  • Once cooled add lemon juice and pour over ice using cherries and lemon slices for garnish.

Enjoy Amiga!!
